| Frequently Asked Questions (Sales) |

Q: Can I preview/demo the system?
A: Yes. During the tour of the system, you can pay $1 (US) to
preview how an end-user would see the system from your application's
perspective. The actual internals of the system (e.g. the SDK) are not
accessible without an account.
Q: How much is the initial setup fee?
Q: What is the setup fee for?
A: The initial setup fee is $70 US. This initiates a process where
CubicleSoft verifies the credentials of the target company and product. That
is, we make sure you actually have a real company and a real shareware
product and aren't simply trying to get into the system.
Q: Can I back out at any time?
A: Our "No hassles. Guaranteed." policy allows you to back out at
any time during the first month with a full refund. After refunding your money,
we will ask one "Why?" question and then leave you alone forever. Any feedback
you provide will be used to improve the service for others.
Q: What is the fee schedule?
A: The initial setup fee is $70 US. Every month, a base cost of $35
US is applied to each product in the account plus $5 US for every block of 20
quantity keys issued beyond 200 quantity keys for the previous month (rounded
up to the nearest block of 20). For example, if an account has a single
product X and 1,532 keys are issued, the cost at the end of the month will be
$35 + $5 * 67 = $370 US. To put this in perspective, if the cost of the
product is $30 US, the gross profit will be $45,960 - $370 = $45,590 US (less
than 1%).
Q: Will you ever use my company information in promotional literature?
A: No. After signing up, your company information is considered
restricted information and kept secret. The information will never be sold,
traded, or given to anyone else.
Q: Will my customers ever see this system?
A: No. When implemented properly, the entire system is masked and is
completely transparent to the end-user. The system was built such that it is
actually quite hard to avoid masking it properly.
Q: What is the ShareWrap SDK?
A: The SDK is a toolkit consisting of 40,000 lines of C++ code inside a
pre-compiled library. This SDK is what developers interface with inside their
products. Remember that if any problems come up, technical support is available
for free for developers utilizing the SDK. Interfacing with the library is
well-documented with several examples.
Q: How does ShareWrap differ from other product activation systems?
A: The product tour is better suited to answer this question. To
sum the tour up: It does not "phone home", does not annoy users, gives you
refined control of the system, doesn't require you to switch purchasing/ordering
systems, and has features that are impossible for most other product activation
systems to implement. (Tour under construction).
Q: What is the source code generator?
A: The source code generator takes the important dynamic components of
the system and generates code for the SDK to utilize. The code generator
is embedded into the online portion of the product activation system. The
internal documentation encourages the use of the code generator for the best
possible interface with the core ShareWrap system. The code it generates is
meant for a simple copy and paste operation into the application's source code.
Q: I signed up and have not received my username and password.
A: If you have not received your username and password within 12 hours
of signing up, call or e-mail the sales team. This is an essential part of the
automated portion of the sign up process.
Q: I signed up and received my username and password, but the system says, "Account Suspended"?
A: This probably means that your account has not been fully initialized
yet. Be patient. We will contact you for additional information before
finalizing the account. There are other reasons for suspended accounts, but
those typically involve legal proceedings.
Q: I signed up and received my username and password, but the system says, "Account Terminated"?
A: This means that you have failed to pay the monthly fee two months in
a row or your account sign up was denied for specific reasons stated in a
hand-written e-mail. Account terminations are rare.
